What exactly does democracy meant to you?
As we are growing up, in one way or another people around us instilled in us the notion that politics is a dirty game. This is a direct outcome of the facts and rationale based on the number of politicians they've voted for who they believe could improve democracy by utilizing the resources the nation has at its disposal for the country to prosper. However, once elected, all of those promises made to their constituents will be in vain. As a result, people have realized that those politicians are only concerned with themselves, rather than with the welfare of citizens and the country as a whole.
Many people have been ruined by this experience, leading to political apathy. With this experience, some people have developed the mindset that they cannot participate in politics anymore, while others believe that their votes will have no impact because of the inconveniences they experience from the people they elect to office, while others attribute the lack of effectiveness to the electoral process. If you were to ask any of these individuals, they would be able to provide you with more details on their beliefs.
We currently live in a society where individuals have normalized complimenting people when they commission a project while diverting and claiming twice the price tag of the initial project to become their own. As good citizens, we understand that everything comes at a cost, but it doesn't give someone the right to divert anything that belongs to the general public to become their own. How would you feel if someone in your current political position diverted and claimed public monies intended for commissioning projects for citizens to his own pocket, and let's say given circumstances your voice can't be heard? If I had to guess, you will feel extremely horrible! As a result, whenever people elect you to represent them in an office, you should always treat them as you would expect to be treated if you had no authority.
Our democracy has reached a point where it is no longer headed in the direction of prosperity. Because of this, it is imperative that we elect leaders who have learnt and practiced leadership skills. Like all other skills, leadership is a skill that can be learned and practiced. Some people seem to think they were born with it, but in realities, their early experiences and the fact that they were fortunate to be surrounded by good role models or experienced individuals helped them develop their leadership abilities. No matter where you go, leadership is leadership. The goal of leadership is also the same. This comprises physical security, economic stability, and ideological stability. Over time, leaders with strong leadership traits are more likely to succeed than those with weaker leadership traits.
We must elect leaders who prioritize people above numbers, leaders with strong negotiation skills, empathy, and vigorous confrontation. We need leaders who believe in something bigger than themselves, who believe in leaving the office a better place than they found it, and who believe in empowering others. We need leaders who are constantly providing feedback so that citizens may gauge the progress of the country's current status.
How would you determine which candidate to vote in an election?
When choosing a candidate to represent you in a position of an authority, it is important to consider the candidate's experience and leadership skills as well as whether or not he or she has used their position to improve the lives of those around him or her. Is he or she truthful, does he or she make decisions that are actionable, does he or she have the high-quality education necessary to represent you well, could he or she sacrifice his or her time and energy for the good of the public, and does he or she possess the capacities and capabilities to drive the nation's resources at disposal to transform the lives of the people he or she represents? These are the kinds of inquiries you ought to make of yourself before casting your vote. Because some candidates won't begin providing the public with any concrete assessments until they are engaged in a baton race.
Some will say heaven and earth just to win your favour. Others will promise you to do certain projects that, even if there are abundant resources, that project will require an enormous portion of the country's budget, which in turn will only benefit the elites group to which they belong. Still others may promise to carry out tasks that, in reality, are neither reasonable nor necessary. With such a mentality, do you ever think they will be able to speak for you effectively? NO! They won't because their goals don't include empowering and assisting the general populace. They are interested in the potential benefits of being elected to that post. That is why, before you vote for someone to represent you in an office, you should ask yourself, "Does this candidate have these attributes that I require in someone to represent me for a job in an office?" If you're quite secure in yourself and believe that candidate would reasonably and accurately reflect your vision, then vote for that candidate, so that you can become the creator of your own life rather than a victim of it.
Additionally, before electing your candidate to office, make sure that he or she has virtually possessed all of the attributes given above more than any other candidates, so that he or she will be the best candidate that is suited for the job. Because the candidate with the most leadership skills is more likely to succeed in the long run than those with less leadership qualities.
The worst thing you can do as an electorate is act petulantly by believing that your vote will make no difference. Imagine everyone behaved as you believe, then no one would exercise their right to prevent inept candidates from being elected to office. Therefore, by choosing to stay home during elections, you will offer corrupt politicians who lack leadership skills the opportunity to persuade other corrupt individuals to support them win election.
Therefore, if you aren't taking part in choosing the right candidate for office, you're thinking WRONG! And you belong to the group of individuals who oppose the constructive growth and development of the nation. Because numbers don't lie and the majority rules, you should reconsider and do the math yourself or find someone you believe to be an expert in politics to do it for you. This will go a long way toward putting the nation back on the right track.
Additionally, it is impossible to expect excellence from a candidate who lacks leadership skills, who is unprepared for the physical safety of their citizens, who lacks a clear vision for the future of their citizens and their country, and who lacks the ability to maintain economic stability will use the country's available resources at disposal to transform the lives of citizens and the country. Because you can't expect a good reputation from someone who has a terrible reputation. Some candidate, based on their background, they are terrible for leadership because they lack leadership skills, whereas others have demonstrated that they are groomed to have leadership skills because, based on their pedigree while in office, they have demonstrated excellent and are always ready to give the best of themselves for the people they represent. So these are the types of people that should always be in positions of leadership because they have demonstrated that they are capable of doing so.
Never anticipate candidate who is unfamiliar with the country's economic predicament to start blaring away your senses. Do you expect someone who is unfamiliar with the problems to supply you with solutions? No way! For this reason, before electing someone into office, you should consider if a candidate has a solid understanding of the current status of the economy and if he or she has the sound knowledge or expertise to shift the economy towards stability and utilizing the country's available resources. Would he or she, if elected guarantee the physical safety of the populace and have a clear vision for the nation's future in terms of prosperity? For example, would you allow someone who hasn't perfected their bicycle driving to drive you on an airplane? No way! Therefore, you should consider all options before casting your vote. Because a country does not evolve by chance. Unfortunately, becoming a developing country is not an accident. So when you do the right thing, you are praised and satisfied, but when you do the wrong thing, you get punished.
Instead of electing candidates who will make decisions that will just benefit their friends and family, we need candidates with strong leadership skills who will make their populace feel as though thousands of Jupiters have been lifted off their shoulders. We need candidates who can make decisions and take actions, not candidates who will merely talk without considering what to do next. We require leaders with a clear vision of the future in which they will restructure the nation for prosperity. We need leaders who constantly give young people the tools they need through education to come up with creative solutions that will boost the nation's economy and the standard of living for its people. We need leaders who are always developing new concepts that will advance the prosperity of the entire nation.
How can you increase your chances of casting a ballot in elections?
Having a clear plan for where and when you will cast your vote helps increase your motivation to vote during elections. You will have a better chance of casting the appropriate ballot for the right candidate at the right time during elections. For instance, if you know your polling unit in advance of the election, deciding on the route that will take you to your polling unit, the time that you will attend your polling unit, and scheduling it in your calendar will increase your chances of voting for the right candidate at the right time during elections. Also, don't get carried away by other people's perfectionism or waste your energy on other people debating about candidates, because allowing yourself to get taken into other people's perspectives will impact your judgements on the candidate for whom you have decided to vote. That is why you must normalize allowing individuals to win disputes in order to prevent becoming a victim of their perspective, or you should refrain from participating in the discussions altogether.
What would you expect if you elected the proper person to a governmental post to serve you?
When you elected the appropriate candidate to an office to represent you. Early on, it's all about decision, action, and sacrifice. Don't bet on someone when elected into government to put the nation back on the right track in a matter of hours. For example, breaking bad habits and establishing good habits does not happen overnight. First, you must identify the cue, which is the source of the bad habits, and begin making small improvements in replacing bad habits with good habits, so that over time, those small improvements in good habits will compound and expand, and when this occurs, you will devise a system to help you institute those good habits more efficiently, and thus good habits will stick automatically. Because forcing yourself to change bad habits with good habits all at once rarely yields results. That is why you must progressively eliminate the causes of negative habits and replace them with positive ones. This could be done by identifying and comprehending an efficient method that would provide fruitful outcomes, which will only happen gradually. When you develop positive habits, you will become more of yourself, becoming more productive, sound, and healthy.
The same is true for any country; when someone is elected to represent the people, he must first grasp the situation in which he finds himself; this means inspecting and analyzing the failures and successes of the preceding person in the office. When analyzing failures, he needs a team with solid knowledge, skills, and experience that can help him look at the causes of his predecessor's failures and develop visionary blueprint plans. He can then start making improvements by swapping out the failure-causing factors with more successful and effective blueprint plans, and over time, failures will be replaced by successes on their own. The same is true for success; he must look at every circumstance that led to his predecessor's tremendous accomplishments while in office. Then develop and implement strategic plans and activities that will diversify the current status of such office by utilizing available resources at disposal to alter the lives of the people he represents for the welfare of the country as a whole positively.
All of these things could only be accomplished by identifying the factors that limit the progress and development of that nation, and then devising decisive and strategic plans that, when implemented over time, will compound and result in unprecedented prosperity and development for that nation, triggering it to flourish more effectively.
Above all, I do not consider myself to be at peak performance in politics, and I certainly do not have all of the answers to the problems, but as a citizen, it will be unrewarding if I do not enlighten the people on what they should do to put our country back on the path to prosperity.
